What communication tools, skills, and tactics can help propel your career growth, spark innovation, and increase your marketability—especially in today’s turbulent economy? In response to this question, I’m excited to announce my new podcast, Informational Interview 2.0, with Kevin Anselmo, founder of Experiential Communications and creator of the Global Innovators Academy.
In this podcast, Kevin and I share insights from our own work as well as wisdom from interviews with career experts and innovators. We explore communication best practices, investigate new offerings, and share life-changing success stories. Informational Interview 2.0 covers a wide range of topics such as Is the Importance of Networking to Find a Job Exaggerated?, a fresh look at networking through analysis of three different articles, including how the pandemic is leading a new wave of creativity; A LinkedIn Coaching Experience, which guides professionals in optimizing their use of LinkedIn by strategically using its features to connect with people and learn new skills; and Resume Do’s and Don’ts, actionable tips to help applicants enhance their resumes—and secure job opportunities. Each episode is under an hour long, with several being 30 minutes or less. All are packed with information.
Prior to our collaboration on the podcast, Kevin and I knew each other during our Duke days and we have worked in complementary fields since: I leveraged my PhD and background to launch Career Path Writing Solutions in 2013 to help individuals and businesses succeed when the stakes are high; Kevin, previously the Director of Public Relations for Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, created the Global Innovators Academy, an initiative that helps students and young professionals become more marketable by providing them with exposure to innovative and entrepreneurial thinkers through an experiential communications training program. The Informational Interview 2.0 podcast capitalizes on our combined perspectives and expertise, and serves as a springboard for ideas and inspiration.
